Making Money in a Tough Economy– Online Marketing on a Shoestring Budget

Todd has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State San Bernardino in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing. A Merit Scholarship Recipient, he earned his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law, where he took a special interest in Intellectual Property.
From there, he went on to work for one of the most prominent sports management and marketing agencies in the country: Curtis Management Group. While with CMG, Todd negotiated hundreds of license agreements and protected the legal interests of families including the Estate of Babe Ruth and Jackie Robinson, as well as James Dean and Marilyn Monroe. While there, he also specialized in recouping domain names from individual “squatters” for numerous celebrities and athletes. Additionally, he represented the marketing interests of Green Bay Packer great Bart Starr, as well as baseball greats such as Mike Piazza and Albert Pujols, and NBA all-star Wally Szczerbiak.
He then directed the intellectual property and licensing department for a $140 million dollar home décor company in Orange County, California. There, he formed the department, developed a plan to target the market, then he structured lucrative licensing deals for a brand new product category with Major League Baseball, Walt Disney, the National Basketball Association and the Collegiate Licensing Company.
Currently, he is Director of Sales for a paper technology company. Todd also co-owns a licensing and marketing company called International Creative Licensing, where he markets the intellectual property assets of world class brands such as Professional Bull Riders, Betty Boop and renowned artist Sandra Kuck. He also represents several corporate clients in the marketing of their assets both in traditional media and online promotion.
He is currently a professor of marketing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, teaching Sports Marketing, Internet Marketing, Fundamentals of Marketing and a Marketing Seminar course.
